Front Porch/Steps Railings

Has anyone had their front porch/step railings repaired or replaced? Ours could use some work, but I'm not sure what kind of business would do it. (It's not just painting, they could use some reinforcing or replacing.) Has anyone had experience with this - good or bad?

Re: Trash Delay

There was a message from the HOA management company about that too. If anyone didn't get the message, I suggest you contact Ramin Kordi <RKordi@ghacm.com>, and give him your email address to get on the listserv.

Re: Trash Delay

There was a message yesterday (I think) from the management company (I think) saying that due to continuing weather issues the midweek trash pick up was cancelled. The trash and recycling are supposed to be picked up tomorrow, but with the weather forecast, I'm betting it will be Saturday.

Re: Water heater

Thanks for sharing your experience with insulating your walls. That is on my (medium term) list of things to do. I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience with their wall? Part of me thinks it has to be a fluke (something that got rebuilt poorly in your house before you bought it) but ...

Re: Pool Policy Clarifications

Reservations open on a rolling 72-hours basis. So Thursday at 7am, the slots for Sunday at 7am would open. Except we don't have any slots that early. So the slots for 2pm Sunday would open at 2pm on Thursday.

Re: New Proposed Architectural Rules. Please Review

In Section 3.11.b, a period is missing between "Modern" and "Storm": "Front door styles must be Traditional, Craftsman, or Modern Storm doors ..."

Re: New Proposed Architectural Rules. Please Review

In Section 1.3, I would prefer to say that the ACC must reply within 30 days (instead of 15 days) or the application is considered approved. Among other reasons, I think it is good to stay consistent with the Covenants which says 30 days (Article VIII). The ACC should make every effort to respond fa...

Re: New Proposed Architectural Rules. Please Review

To me, Section 2.14 looks like it just applies to construction material, where storage pods are often used for random junk. Also, Section 2 is for maintenance, and people might not think of them as a maintenance standard. I like the idea of mentioning pods in 2.14 but also putting them back in Secti...

Re: New Proposed Architectural Rules. Please Review

What was the logic behind removing the section on storage pods? It seemed like a useful thing to have in the guidelines.

Re: Trash pickup

From what I've observed, the trash folks are very good about picking up trash, but only trash. It seems like they have instructions not to pick up bulk (unless pre-arranged with the company), recycling (even on Tuesdays), or yard waste. If they see those items or think the containers have those item...
