Inclement Weather Policy for the Pool?

Could I get some clarification on what the policy is for the pool in the event of thunderstorms? I understand the need to clear out the pool and even close it temporarily when there is lightning, but on a few days, it seems like after an eight minute downpour, the pool is just closed for the rest of the day, even if it completely clears up afterwards. This is especially unfortunate when it happens in the early part of the day.

I wondered if I could just get a sense of what the official policy is.
